Michele Stanten (of Prevention magazine) provides a video clip of some yoga stretches that can:
> Loosen the hips
> Reduce sciatic pain
> Heal from past hip injuries
> Lengthen the spine
> Relieve back stiffness
> Encourage blood flow through the torso
These 2 simple yoga stretches contribute to: Improving relaxation and sleep by relieving muscle tension.
Practice good form, and practice often...
Notes:
During the wagging dog asana, you don't want to be up on your tippy-toes. Relax your calves, lower your heels toward the floor.
Don't forget to do them with each leg, evenly working each side of the body.
Try to practice in a quiet setting without distractions. This enables you to focus on your body. You will be more likely to do the exercises correctly.
After you have practiced these, share your experiences here on the Higher Lifestyle blog!
