Thinking of a Spring Cleanse? Not sure how to get started?
There are some simple ways to eat differently that are great for kicking off an intestinal/digestive Cleanse. And you can practice these in the middle of your week, without *distracting you at work, *requiring fasting, *throwing you into any "healing crises", or *making you feel fatigued.
When you cleanse, your energy can be drained, even if you are eating nutritious foods. As your body releases toxins, you can feel "toxic" or sluggish. However, many folks feel More Energized as they cleanse and eliminate stored waste!
Here are a few ways that my wellness clients have started Cleansing Mid-Week:
*Increase your hydration. Dilute some of your usual drinks.
*Slowly, gradually decrease your caffeine intake. You can start limiting your caffeine on the weekend so you don't feel withdrawal during the week.
*Eat more vegetables and greens the week before. Add those to your meals gradually, while reducing the amount of unhealthy foods you eat.
*Keep your energy and metabolism up with juicing.
*Add fresh juicing as you reduce the amount of junk in your daily diet.
*Introduce more fresh vegetables as you eliminate toxins, sugar and caffeine. Slowly, gradually.
*Reduce your meat intake significantly. (There will be fewer side effects from meat withdrawal than other eating changes.)
*After you have eliminated all toxins (alcohol, processed foods, trans fats, foods with preservatives and artifical sweeteners, plus chemical additives), sugar, and caffeine, completely avoid eating meat.
*Now you are eating fresh-cooked grains, fruits and vegetables. Start to eat fewer raw foods. Cook your veggies, but don't overcook them. Steam or bake them. >>> Keep adding fresh Juicing. >>>Start your herbal formulas.
