Lab blood tests and vitamin D reports fail the test

How safe and accurate are your lab-based blood test results? Recent vitamin D tests were shown to be wrong. The company doing the faulty lab-work admitted their problems and corrected them. What to do?
When possible, visit doctors who perform their own in-house lab tests.
Get a 2nd opinion, and retake your tests with fresh samples, if results seem unusual in some way.
Have tests run by specialists who do all their own testing, instead of going to a larger facility who send away all tests.
