School play-time is critical to children's health

Children's play-time has many health benefits, including improving their ability to focus in class.

Pediatric psychologist Carolyn Landis, of University Hospital's Case Medical Center in Cleveland, describes the reduction in gym time, recess, physical education class and time, and the detrimental impact it's having on their health. Watch this video to hear about these dramatic changes in children's health:

Sleep, energy, vitamin D, social interactions, and outdoor experiences are all being negatively impacted when children don't play. These have far-reaching consequences, beyond the impact on their school-work.
Our schools should be teaching healthy habits as much as possible, in every way possible! This means MORE gym-time, recess, time outdoors and P.E. time!

Get in Shape with Baby

Happy Spring! This is an excellent time to get out with your child, to get active, and get in shape. The weather is nicer for being active outside. Your baby and kids need to be active, and the fresh air inspires healthier attitudes.

"But my kids play every day. They're physically fit."

But do YOU get outside and play Together?

Children are amazing, and so smart! No matter what we tell them, we are their models. They do what we do. When they are getting outside with Mom or Dad, and having FUN being physically active, then they have a better attitude toward fitness. Then, they grow into healthier teens and adults.

Fit, active kids become healthier teens. Active teens:
* get better grades,
* are less likely to try drugs or smoke cigarettes, and
* are less likely to become pregnant.
* They engage in fewer risky behaviors. They stay out of trouble.

So, get prepared for a great spring with your child. Make time each day to get outside and play with your child.

Expose your baby to fresh air and growing grass.
Chase after your toddler in a big field. Get out and PLAY 2-gether!

So, why not start the spring with baby gear that can help your fitness goals? Check out these toys, and get Free Shipping:
