Got a bad sunburn lately?
If you have been having too much fun in the sun lately, or maybe tried too hard to get your does of vitamin D, then here are good suggestions to ease your burn and discomfort:
A bit of vitamin D is healthy for strong bones and other physical functions. But staying out, unprotected, sets us up for sunburn. Anticipate when you'll be spending long times in the sun, and plan to protect.

Cancer-fighting cells duplicated to eliminate skin cancer
There are many studies revealing new cancer treatments these days. Alot of emphasis on treatment. For skin cancer, one research lab extracted cancer-fighting cells from a late-stage cancer patient and duplicated them in a lab. A few billion cells later, the cancer vanished. Although cancer rates have been steadily growing, there have been many reports lately that vitamin D deficiency is pervasive in the U.S. So, it's important to monitor how much sun we are getting.
For bone strength, and warding off certain types of cancer, experts recommend anywhere from 10-60 minutes of sun exposure each day.
Deep burns and repeat sunburns should be prevented. A little sun can be cancer-preventive, but too much, all at once, should be avoided for better health.
